Early childhood environments play a pivotal role in shaping a child’s lifelong relationship with food. We partner with preschools, long day care centres, and early learning communities to provide engaging, practical, and evidence-based education. Combining nutritional expertise with a strong understanding of early childhood paedagogy, we offer tailored sessions to support educators, empower parents, and delight young learners.

We offer three core pillars of community support:

1. Professional Development & Teacher Education

We help educators build confidence in managing mealtimes and creating sensory-safe, positive mealtime environments in the classroom.

  • Popular topics include: Implementing a division of responsibility in early childhood settings, navigating restrictive eating behaviours and sensory food aversions at lunchtime, moving away from "good food/bad food" language, and fostering a positive, pressure-free ethos to encourage food exploration.

  • The outcome: Practical, actionable strategies that align with the National Quality Framework (NQF) to foster positive eating environments.

2. Parent Information Sessions

Bringing parents and educators onto the same page is key to a child's feeding success. We host warm, collaborative workshops for parent communities (either in-person or online).

  • Popular topics include: Stress-free transition to solids, navigating the normal toddler food shifts without the battles, building lunchboxes that actually get eaten, and cultivating peaceful family mealtimes at home.

3. Interactive Student Workshops

Young children learn best through play, curiosity, and sensory exploration. Our interactive workshops are designed to introduce children to the wonderful world of food in a completely pressure-free, hands-on way.

  • Our approach: Drawing on sensory education, we lead age-appropriate sessions focusing on food exploration using all five senses (touching, smelling, looking, listening, and tasting if ready). These workshops can include interactive food preparation, storytelling, and playful food science.

  • The outcome: Children who feel empowered, curious, and safe to explore new foods on their own terms.
